about nigal

Nigal, our CEO and lead advisor has a rich background in education and a passion for social justice. A dad and a respected community member, he advocates for social equality and inclusion.
With a Bachelor of Primary Education, post – graduate studies in Leadership, Positive Psychology and International Education, and extensive experience in leadership roles within mainstream and special education settings, he has a proven track record of fostering inclusive environments for marginalised communities.
Notably, he spearheaded the growth of the Edmund Rice Education Inala Flexible Learning Centre, supporting students from diverse backgrounds to achieve academic success.
In his role as Foundational Principal of The Sycamore School , he successfully established Queensland’s first Independent Special School for young people Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder only in thirty years, demonstrating adept financial management and innovative program development. Finally, only one of a very few people in Australia, founded his own school, The Younity School (formally known as Connections Community College)
His leadership style and model of care has built genuine relationships, drove organisational change, and cultivated positive workplace cultures aligned with core values.
He is committed to championing the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
